王宝元，小冰公司联合创始人，技术副总裁，目前负责公司远景技术的研发与实验性产品的探索。他与2012年七月至2021年一月在微软亚洲研究院，微软HoloLens混合现实，Azure 云计算与人工智能平台等部门分别担任主管研究员，资深首席研发经理等职位，其研究成果被广泛应用于必应地图，Xbox，HoloLens，Microsoft Pix，Swiftkey，Azure Cognitive Services 等产品。他一直非常关注新技术的落地，擅长在产品需求和前沿技术之间做出平衡来解决实际应用问题。王宝元于2009年三月至2012年6月在MSRA担任实习研究员，他分别在2007和2012年取得浙江大学计算机学士和博士学位。
Baoyuan Wang is currently a machine learning and computer vision researcher with Visual Intelligence Group at MSR, he is focusing on designing and delivering the most practical techniques for Microsoft products and services. He has shipped several important techniques to Microsoft Pix, Xbox/Kinect, Bing Map etc in the past three years.
He received the bachelor and Ph.D. degree both from Zhejiang University in 2007 and 2012 respectively.
